Meet Nova! 2 years old | ~42 lbs | Spayed | Pit Bull/Catahoula Mix Nova is a smart, loyal high-energy girl with a huge heart and a big need for adventure. She loves chasing balls, zooming around, and going for walks-especially if there's room to sniff and explore. She's incredibly treat-motivated and picks up on new things quickly when there's consistency and patience. She struggles with reactivity to squirrels and cats when leashed. We are working on training as she is HIGHLY treat motivated, and responds to positive reinforcement. She will sometimes pull towards other leashed dogs (she mostly wants to sniff them)! She would thrive being the only pet or having a possible female dog companion, but she is also totally OK with cats (currently lives with a cat and male dog). She's not suited for homes with young kids either, but she'd thrive with an experienced, calm adult who can give her structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. Right now, she's spending a lot of time home alone as I work full time and am in school. I can't afford to provide for her anymore. She is not getting the training and stimulation she needs and it's just not fair to her. She deserves more than I'm able to give-someone who can help her become the dog she's meant to be. I believe in her, and I want her to have the chance to feel safe, loved, and understood. She is house-trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, off, heel (we are always practicing), and place. She's up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed. Nova would do best with experienced dog owners! She could also be great at agility as she is strong, fast, and a quick learner. If you're patient, active, and looking for a loyal companion to grow with, Nova might be your girl.
