Courtesy posting: URGENT IN LOS ANGELES, CA (Some transport may be available to qualified homes back east as owner is moving)- APPROX 4.5 YR, 50 LB LOVING, VERY FRIENDLY MALE CHOW 'STEWART' - NOW IN NEED OF A LOVING HOME W/ NO OTHER PETS Please help us find a loving, responsible home for adorable Stewart who was found as a stray and ended up at a high kill shelter. Stewart was friendly from the get go and was quickly adopted to a home several weeks ago who unfortunately is unable to now keep him. They describe Stewart as 'very friendly with people and enjoys being petted along with small treat, a loving Chow about 4-5 years old, who weighs 50 lbs. He lives inside our house and loves taking long walks in our neighborhood. However, he has a strong prey drive with squirrels and other dogs Currently, we are working on crate training. we are hoping to place him soon in a home with space for him to run and hunt. Due to his strength and drive, I cannot walk him since I've had a bilateral shoulder replacement. This is the main reason we are trying to rehome Stewart. For the brief time he's been with us, he has been friendly with others, and he has not postured nor bitten anyone. We have bonded with him, and he loves us. However, he is just too much for us to handle. Thank you for helping us find a home that's a good match for him.' They also added he is 'good traveler' in a car, and they are open to bring him to a meet a home along the way as they are headed back east in the near future towards Michigan. Stewart is already chipped, vaccinated, and recently neutered. He has no reported medical issues and appears to be healthy, but they are still working on potty training as they only adopted him a few weeks ago.
