Princess is a sweet girl. She is an Austrailian Cattle Dog - Blue heeler. She is very sweet and affectionate, but also very protective of her home and family. She is house trained but primarily lives outside as we have provided an insulated dog house with cooling and heating. We do invite all the dogs into the house, especially in extreme weather, where we provide a pillow for each of them to sleep on. Also, our kids are 12 and older, although when we first adopted her as a puppy, our youngest was 8. I recommend she is not left alone with a child younger that 8, I recommend supervision and additional training. Her cattle dog traits are very strong as her breed is bred for herding cattle and other livestock. She is wary of new people in her yard and sometimes will come up behind the new person to nip at their shoes to get them moving. She is currently living with two other bigger dogs, a Newfoundland and a Golden Retriever mix. 99% of the time they get along, but sometimes she likes to show them who is boss and sometimes will nip at them. The two big dogs are usually pretty chill and tolerate her, but every once in a while they push back and a squabble breaks out. She is a very loving dog and loves to give lots of licks. She wears her emotions on her face. When she is happy, she wears the biggest open mouth smile. When she gets scolded, her ears go down and she puts on the most sorrowful face. She is a good listener.
