About PENDING ADOPTION BLUE

PENDING ADOPTION!!!Applications on hold until 5/10/25 Accepting backup applications only www.socalweimrescue.org/pages/adopt IMGINE: You are alone and terrified after you've been running the streets not knowing where to go or where to find your next meal. It's cold and you're dodging cars and trying to find a place to sleep. A man comes in a big white truck and takes you away on a long pole and you are forced into a kennel. Voices all around are foreign to you. They look for a collar or a tag and you have none. They scan you for a microchip and YES hurray you have an owner!!!!!! Because you have a potential owner the shelter does not yet own you so you are placed out f sight in the back of the shelter where nobody can interact with you, touch you or even talk to you. Legal precautions they say. You wait. Days pass. And you still wait. The only thing holding you together is hope and the food you are getting regularly. Your person is ignoring the shelters phone calls .......and you.....knowing you have been found but not caring or coming to get you. A couple weeks later still nobody comes for you so they take you to surgery to make sure you never have babies. Now you go up for adoption but nobody has any interest. You are dirty and now pretty smelly so don't look really appealing. You look up at each person who passes hoping you will be the one they pick. It doesn't happen. One day a nice lady comes and takes you in her car and says she is going to find you a nice new home. She is from a Rescue. You go to a place where you see other dogs, you hear music, you are allowed on a big fluffy sofa and feel a kind person rubbing your head and shoulders. Someone takes your picture and it is put somewhere that people look to adopt dogs. Still...nobody comes to visit you. You are hoping to stay here but know by the phone calls a whispers that it is not to be. So Meet BLUE.....the life he has had for the last month or so is so lonely. He now is out of the shelter and has loads of energy. We don't know too much yet but he is friendly meeting people on his walks but does pull a little. He has been crated and sleeps well through the night. He actually loves napping after a run in the dog park in his crate with the door open. He is housetrained and neutered. He is fostered in an apartment which is a challenge for his foster because he LOVES to be outside experiencing sights and sounds. A nice yard would be perfect for him. He needs a family who is willing to continue with training and helping him through this learning period. He is estimated to be around 3-4 years old. He is very very active and just learning to calm down after being couped up for so long. A really good boy who deserves a loving person to come adopt him. Let's get this boy into a home!!
