Whiskey is a 2-year-old Bull Terrier/Red Heeler mix looking for a calm, experienced home where he can thrive. He's incredibly intelligent, knows a variety of commands (sit, lay down, roll over, jump up, go around, go in between, and go to place), and is eager to please the people he trusts. Whiskey does best in a low-stress environment with a consistent routine. He's had some fear-based reactivity-likely tied to a traumatic event he witnessed as a puppy-and needs a patient and understanding owner who can help him feel safe. Whiskey is not aggressive without reason, but he gets anxious in unpredictable situations and would do best in a home without small children or frequent visitors. Whiskey would thrive with someone experienced in dog behavior, particularly fear-based aggression, or someone willing to work with a trainer. He has so much love to give and will be an incredibly loyal companion to the right person. He is house-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and comes with his favorite toys, blanket, and a transition plan if needed. This decision hasn't been easy, and I want to ensure Whiskey ends up in a good home.
