About Moe

My name is Moe. I am Ziva's resident 'Basset/Lab/Some other stuff mix.' I am almost 40 lbs and about 18 months. I have such a quiet gentle soul. I haven't had a lot of chances in life to grow my confidence and to be able to just be a dog. We aren't sure what I went through when I was even younger but I ended up in a shelter, then I was adopted and then I had to be surrendered because my owner was moving. I am very happy I finally get my chance to live life of consistency where I can learn the ropes. My basics - I am working on my housebreaking and even during this transition period, I am making quick strides! I am good with other dogs; I am submissive in nature. We are unsure on cats and young children. Given my shy nature we think kinds 10+ would be a good starting point. Loud noises or sudden movements might be too much for me (at least right now). That being said, I am not 'scared to death'; I am not reactive and I have never shown one sign of a mean bone in my body! I am just a bit nervous as I navigate new things. I am good on leash and can even show a little stubborn streak when I want to go somewhere; I am swayed by treats and very willing to listen when they are involved! I spend my day chilling on my dog bed and playing with toys. I watch the movements of the humans and take it all in. I am absolutely showing signs of comfort and relaxation; following my humans, wagging my tail, and I eat very well! I will need a person or people that will work on socializing and who are willing to teach me the outside world doesn't have to be a scary place! Single family home with a yard would be best.
