Best things: housebroken, doesn't hump other dogs, very silly, playful, loves to snuggle, and has so much love to give. He generally bonds to one person/dog, but is friendly with every person he meets. He has lived with other dogs before, including bloodhounds he has been raised around cats, and has lived with/ been around children. He's not reactive with food or toys, can sit, and he will go beside or behind you when you give the command 'excuse me'. he also loves soft toys and bones. He is crate, trained, and loves to have his little space at night. he doesn't love baths, but he tolerates them. He doesn't bark or bay very often, mostly whines. Worst things: he does not walk very well on a leash, so he would require the time and patience to improve that or off leash training. He needs some re-socialization, as he acts out towards people on bicycles or with other dogs while on walks. He loves to get into the garbage (loves to tear up paper products), and loot kitty litter boxes. He will eat any food thing that he can get into when you're not watching and he'll also chew up and eat tennis balls. Ideal home: He's used to a fenced in yard, but regardless, he needs space to run and/or someone who's active enough to run with him. He needs an owner who has experience with bloodhounds or similar breed of dog, or that can afford to put him through a training program. As well as someone who can give him the attention he deserves. He could do well on a farm, as he loves to chase rabbits, and squirrels. This decision has not been taken lightly. My living and financial situation have both changed, and I really only wish the best for him. It's been really hard for me to even grasp the idea of not having him anymore, but I know that he needs someone who will give him all the love and attention he deserves.
