About MARCO

Meet Marco - a 5 month old zany sweetheart black lab mix. Possibly labradoodle, as he is extremely low shedding. Sadly Marco was found on the side of a road at 3 months old. He is over the top friendly with all humans and even does well with tolerant cats. He is able to totally relax in public settings and has no reactivity to humans, children, other dogs, vehicles, etc. Marco needs a home that is 100% dedicated to commit more than enough time and money to training him. PLEASE DO NOT REACH OUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE TRAINING PUPPIES OR DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR TRAINING CLASSES. Here are some notes on his behavior: ACHIEVED: Potty trained, remarkably friendly demeanor, easily entertained with chews and puzzle toys, sleeps quietly through the whole night in his crate, knows 'leave it' 'come' 'sit, lay down' and how to bark on command, on a out 1 hour and in 2 hours schedule with crate training WORK IN PROGRESS: Can be very mouthy when tired - Marco is currently in his 'crocodile phase' which black labs go through. This can easily be VERY tiring and he needs someone who is either experienced with dog training or has the resources for professional puppy training. He also needs someone who will never become reactive if Marco accidentally hurts his owner with his sharp puppy teeth. Marco weighs 26 pounds now but has huge paws and could easily grow up to be over 75 pounds!! So having a house with a yard would be the ideal space for him. Potential to go with his collection of KONG toys, food puzzles, crate and other supplies. Has first round of all shots including rabies, dewormed and flea treated in April. Puppies are a huge commitment, especially one which is prone to nipping when tired and will grow to be over 75+ pounds. I love Marco because he has a wonderful demeanor, very friendly nature and the ability to be calm in virtually every setting. I can't keep Marco because I underestimated the commitment to constantly training him and am struggling to get him the one hour of intense exercise he needs DAILY.
