Meet Rupert the Staffordshire Terrier ARRIVING IN WI ON APRIL 25th: Rupert is a handsome 1 year old male dog. He has a beautiful gray blue coat and the sweetest personality. He weighs 67 pounds. Rupert found himself in a tough situation in rural Texas when he was brought into the shelter by animals control. He waited and waited for his family to come pick him up but they never showed. He has been in foster care in Texas, and is doing great. He is happy he gets to make the trip to WI and is excited to find his furever family in the midwest. Rupert enjoys people of all ages and gets along great with other dogs. He loves attention and is very sweet. He does chase his foster family's cats, so we would not recommend a home with cats. He is potty trained and is working on his leash walking skills. He is neutered, tested heartworm negative, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday April 25th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday, April 25th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable.
