Neuter appt 4/21 If you participate in the shelter's 'staycation program' (in home trial) adoption fees are waived ACC found him in the woods, he was 35lbs malnourished and already microchipped, they contacted the owner who said 'he got loose but we work too much and dont want him anymore' He is now a healthier 44lb�'�| will prob top off at 50lb filled out for a healthy weight for his frame (he is a bit shorter) Email me for off leash meet & greets!! (A1218500) HAMLET NOTES: * Easy in the car * Leans his body on you * likes to sit his butt on you * Gentle, calm, chill demeanor�%A0 * Sweet & snuggly * Treat motivated * knows 'sit' * Gives sweet kisses * Lap dog * Velvety lilac coat * Easy on the leash * Will climb up on you for hugs/pats but not an aggresive/bouncy jumper in his mannerisms�%A0 * velcro dog, will follow you & stays close * Showed non-reactive, positive body language when approaching resident dog in a cage for a brief few seconds to sniff, then walked away (didnt seem to want to play but didnt seem disturbed by another dog either)�%A0 *Did really well with a few neighborhood dogs (both leashed)�%A0 *did well OFFLEASH with two friendly dogs (humps dogs during play; doesnt hump humans) * Was able to settle in a room by himself without showing any reactivity/separation anxiety signs (will sometimes whine in room alone but settles fairly quickly & it isnt very loud) *went inside cage on his own, but turned around & walked out (my foster cage is also a bit too small)�'�|did well in the cage at a temp foster's house, whined at 1st but settled * hasnt tried to chew on nor destroy things * appears house broken; had 1 accident inside; marks frequently outside * Didnt resource guard food/toys * Enjoyed playing with squeak toy; likes benebones (but only chews on them while youre in the room with him, theyll all be in the exact spots when i leave the room/come back in�'�|doesnt really play/entertain himself * Loves to drink water * Protective! Lets out a deep, loud bark when men approached us (but likes men in general) * needs to be neutered; scheduled 4/21 *will chase, capture, & KILL palmetto bugs!! * showed a heavy fixation with mild reactivity toward some neighborhood wildlife (squirrels, owl, geese, bunnies) & a cat when he was in close proximity; became curious with stiff body language then pulled on leash when cat ran away but re-directed easily�'�|.cats weve approached from a distance, he appears to be unphased by/doesnt notice them/doesnt react�'�|cats that have remained on their stoops and did not run from him, he was curious about getting closer to it and then walked the other way. True 'cat compatibility' is unclear at this time & may likely just depend on the mannerisms of the cat (proceed with caution for cat intros due to his mild fixation demeanor)�%A0
