Snickers is a beautiful AKC registered red brindle with white markings. She was whelped on March 30, 2021. I purchased Snickers in May of 2023 from a breeder of Boston Terriers, she had been bred, at least one time prior to my purchase of her. I suspect that she was primarily kept in a crate and allowed outside playtime daily. I say that because she seems very willing to go in her crate and a bit uneasy with the freedom of unrestricted home access, she does very much enjoy being outdoors; she walks well on a lead, will rip and run when encouraged to do so and will come when called. Snickers is a very sweet dog but I sense she is intimidated by my presence, at least while in the house; I am 6'2' and 230# which makes me about 10x's larger than her and I think she finds this size difference intimidating. While in the house she is always by my side but reluctant to come to me when called and routinely acts as if she has done something wrong. She will follow me throughout the house and always will let me know when she is hungry, or in need of going out to relieve herself. I have a college age daughter and Snickers has always been more receptive to her. I suspect this may be that my daughter is substantially smaller than myself and, therefore, is less intimidating to the dog. She has been perfect in the house, aside from marking her bed the day she arrived here; I didn't like that but do understand. Ideally, I would like to see Snickers go to family with younger children; a setting that will provide her the opportunity to interact with people that she will not be afraid of, that will allow her to comfortably just be a dog.
