PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 11-month-old male Chihuahua/ Shepherd/Spaniel ? mix, about 20 pounds. This handsome and sweet puppy was found by the reservoir in Yakima along with his injured siblings and likely his mama (found deceased). We believe that Tolkien and Bilbo (listed here for adoption) are probably his brothers). Frodo survived a coyote attack, sustained several wounds and a broken pelvis. He was given all the medical care and crate rest needed to heal and he has recovered wonderfully without any lasting effects! Frodo is a very sweet, friendly guy who is low to medium energy and loves to run and play. He would do best with dogs his size or smaller as getting 'jumped on' by a bigger dog right now might ruin his healing journey. He tends to vocalize when he needs something but is generally quiet. Cats are unknown and I think kiddos will be fine. To request an adoption application, email [email protected] Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
