About Zuess

Zuess is a rescue. I got him from a highway patrolman who rescued him from living in a car for 6 months. His female owner passed away and her grandson took him but lost his apartment and ended up living in a car. The highway patrolman heard about the situation and took him in but had too many dogs so put him on this site a couple years ago. My female shepherd has passed away so I got him, but I had a hip replacement and have trouble walking and he has not been walked since I got him. I rehomed him over a year ago but his new owner needed to move and couldn't find a rental that would take a dog over 35 # so he told me that he was going to take him to the pound. I didn't want him to end up at the pound so took him back. My situation now is that I'm 78 yrs. old, work long hours every day so he's spends his days waiting for me to come home and I cannot walk him. It's been almost a year since he's been walked and my yard isn't large enough for a 100# dog that needs excercize. He's a good dog, not agressive, he's good with people and has lived with other dogs with no problem. I do not know about cats. His hips are not the best, I believe from living in the car for so long, so doesn't jump up on beds, but has no problem with stairs. He's a good watchdog. He's a very handsome dog, mostly light tan, looks and acts like a german shepherd but I believe has a bit of lab maybe. He loves squeeker toys and doesn't destroy them. I will include his favorites.
