About TRACKER

We rescued momma, a black shep and her litter of 14 puppies from a hoarding situation. POPPA on property was a Chocolate Lab. Tracker was the runt and he had been run over by a car and his back legs were broken. We took him immediately to our vet and the next morning he was showing signs of Parvo so he had to get fluids and parvo treatment before his legs could be splinted. It was a rough time and long treatment for this precious pup. He is an extraordinary GENTLE LOVING soul who deserves a new and loving home. Other than a slightly noticeable limp when he walks he is healed and can run and play with the other dogs. He is mostly indoors and a great couch potato. Tracker is also great with cats and is a wonderful companion or family dog. He weighs about 40 pounds. we took Tracker to the dog park today. I have added some new pics from today and also some we took previously. It is a bit difficult to get a concept of his size, as he has grown up he has not gotten any heavier, still weighing in as mid size about 40-43 pounds, easy to handle, good on leash and very well behaved. He has extra long legs which makes him look bigger in the photos. You will notice is some of the pics that because of his previous injury his rear quarters are hunched and slope downwards. He is fully healed but will always have this curvature to his hind quarters. That is why we don't want to put him in a home with big dogs that will roughhouse or jump on him. He is a true gentleman, gentle with all the animals in his world and loving as a Dog can be. He is good indoors and sleeps on his foster moms bed, going out to potty and play a little with his friends and favorite sport is tug-o-war. He will jump into your car to go for a ride and he sits by the window getting fresh air and taking in all the new sites around him. He loves toys and balls, his favorite thing is a fuzzy little pillow that he carried around the house with it in his mouth until it fell apart. Tracker does not require a big yard but would be happy and content for your companionship indoors and short walks. He is very mellow natured and not high energy in any way, mainly and indoor dog.
