About Gracie

Gracie is available for adoption in Orange County! This little cutie is an 8.5lbs, 2 year old maltese/poodle (maltipoo) who ended up in the Riverside Shelter. She was matted and in horrible shape. We have been working to get her healthy and ready for a furever home! Gracie is fully vetted (vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and on flea preventative). When Gracie arrived to us, she was terrified and didn't want anything to do with people. After a few short days, she was wagging her tail at her foster mom and wanting to be held! She now sleeps in the bed with her foster mom and is doing so well. She even jumps for joy when her foster mom comes home from work! Despite her amazing progress, Gracie is still pretty scared, so we are recommending her to calm homes without kids. She's been coexisting peacefully with other dogs in her foster home (although she's not really interested in playing with them). She does seem to prefer women to men. Gracie will need a patient home that won't push her too hard too fast and can work with her on training, including basic commands, and potty training. She is food motivated and potty trained in her foster home (but will likely need a refresher course in a new home)!
