About Blu

Blu is a five year old Australian Cattle Dog (born 4/3/2020). It breaks my heart to have to rehome him, but we do not have a choice. Blu does well with people once he trusts them, and sticks like velcro to his chosen person. He's been raised with kids (as young as 6), but I'm unsure how he would be with very young children. Blu is a textbook heeler who loves car rides, playing tug, chasing balls, spending a lot of time being active outside, and snuggling with his human on the couch after a busy day. He has a very high prey drive and excellent herding instincts, but he would do better with a job as a rodent exterminator than as a cattle herder. Blu would do best as an only dog, and his ideal family would have experience with the breed, be dog-savvy, and have lots of time to keep his brain and body active. He CANNOT go to a home with other small animals. He is due for vaccinations, and we will get that done before he goes to his new home.
