About Duchess

Meet Duchess the Mastiff ARRIVING IN WI on APRIL 25th! Duchess is a gorgeous 1.5 year old female Mastiff. She is a beautiful girl with a golden and black coat. She currently weighs about 130 pounds. Duchess found herself in a tough situation in Texas when her family abandoned her due to no fault of her own. She was picked up by animal control and waited at the shelter, but they never came for her. She hasn't let that get her down, and she is excited to come to Wisconsin and find her true Furever home. She is potty trained and walks well on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs and she loves people of all ages. She is spayed, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. Duchess is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday April 25th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $750, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $375, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday, April 25th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent her from finding her forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog.
