Clint is a 2-3 Year Old, 36 Pound Neutered Male Staffy/Pit/Miniature American Shepherd Mix. Clint is a friendly, healthy guy looking for love. He lives with older, smaller dogs. He wants to play with them, but his size, speed & agility intimidates them. Car rides, outtasite. Open the door & see who owns the shotgun seat. Inside, Clint is quite comfortable lying on a pillow on the couch. Clint is a very energetic guy outside, so an active family or a canine buddy to play with would be great. In the house, Clint gets truly focused on his foster grandpa. Instead of following him around, Clint dances & prances backward wagging his tail, moving to where he thinks grandpa is going. In the process, Clint will often bump into things or those small dogs he is living with. Older kids and a fenced yard would be a plus. Clint has not met a treat he does not like. Just toss one toward him & see how well he can catch. Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower & zucchini count as treats. Training is recommended. Clint is smart & tries to please, so should enjoy classes with you. Clint has no ongoing health problems. He came to HFD after flunking his heartworm test. He was treated over a few months & then tested negative. With his sleek physique, he looks underweight, but the vet thinks 30-33 pounds is where he should be. Because of his short, dark brown hair, foster grandpa thought Clint might be part chocolate lab; DNA testing showed otherwise. Please learn & see more about Clint on his personal, public Facebook page, facebook.com/profile.php?id=61569586439446 or open FB & search on Clint of Heather's Foster Dogs. There you can also see the breeds which showed up on his DNA test. To Clint, thunderstorms are the work of the devil. And don't expect Clint to go outside, except on a leash, if it is raining. Clint is housebroken, microchipped as well as up to date on vaccines & monthly heartworm & flea/tick preventatives. Clint's adoption fee is $400. If you think you are a match for Clint, then please go to heathersfosterdogs.org. Using the menu at the top of the page, click on Adoption Application.
