About Dewy

Dewy has been with us since he was 10 months old when he was adopted from the humane society in Golden Valley. He is now almost 7 years old and his reactiveness and resource guarding has become dangerous with small children being in the home. He recently went after an 11-year-old English bulldog that he has spent much time with since he was adopted (multiple times a week and overnights occasionally) over treats that were being given to the dogs. He is also skittish around men and had gotten worse in general with anyone coming up to the house. With consistent training he would do well but we, as owners and parents, don't have the finances available to fund the training necessary to make us comfortable with him in our home any longer. He is currently safe in an outdoor kennel and dog run but that is no life for this velcro dog who loves his person.
