About Gus

Gus is a 7 year old red heeler. He currently resides on about an acre of fenced in back yard next to the pool where he chases dragonflies. He does come in and kennel during the night when needed and obeys commands. Gus has a behavior issue of resource guarding if left alone. He is great with other dogs until there is food involved. When we feed and remain outside he keeps his distance and obeys owner. I have noticed him laying next to the only remaining bowl of food or the water bowl guarding. He did get aggressive with our other male (they are all neutered/spayed) and it was not a good outcome. He needs to be in open areas to have his own space im afraid. Hes a good boy. Obeys commands like sit, stay, recall (Gus, come Gus;), and kennel
