About Dexter

Dexter (Dex) is our current foster buddy of about 2 months & we so badly want to find him the home he deserves!! He's a 5ish year old LAB MIX - FIXED! I'm a dog groomer, and freshly deshedded him today.�%A0 He does good with kids, but will probably need a home with bigger kiddos, unless someone has the time to work with him. He does good with both our boys (1 & 3), but he gets excited and forgets how big he is. He has never shown signs of aggression with other friendly dogs (we have 4 other dogs - 2 female & 2 male), and I believe would actually do amazing with another younger pup that he can spend his time/get energy out with! We have a few acres and an inground fence system that he does well with, but I believe our other dogs help keep him from wandering, Would probably be best in a fenced in yard where he can run as he wishes, but does well with our ingroundd fence once he learned the boundaries. Has not had any accidents inside & sleeps next to me all night. �����%8F Will come with an automatic feeder! �%A0He is the sweetest boy, and wants nothing but love and attention. He had been chained up to a tree on a short lead for his first 5 years of life, so he gets so excited over the smallest bit of attention, and he is such a smart/sweet big boy!! He really is so sweet and such a good boy, just needs a family to call his own! He is a little skidish if you quickly try to �%A0grab his collar on his neck, won't aggressively bite but will almost 'play bite', but as long as you go slow he is fine - I think he has some past trauma around something to do with that. Please help me find this boy the home he deserves��ժ�٩� Located in Fredonia but can drive/meet anywhere!!! Please help this baby!!! We have all older rescues dogs and he just isn't getting the hint that they don't want to play, and we have 2 donkeys that he also is not understanding also do not want to play with him�'�| �ٴ��%A0The $20 fee will be donated back to the shelter that we get our next rescue from, it's out little 'pay it forward' that we like doing, but can be discussed if that fee possibly holds someone back.
