About Cerberous

URGENT! [Case opened on 4/16/25]. HILLSBORO, OHIO. 5 Y/O MALE BLACK GSD (DOB:3/24/20) . His name is 'CERBEROUS'. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd Parent since weaned. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids (READ BELOW). Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but will sometimes (try to) break out. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. Currently on GOOD ESSENTIALS food. Weighs 105 lbs. Good with car rides. Loves: his black Kong ball - car rides - learning new tricks - treats - toys - destroying toys. Personality: Territorial. Something has recently changed in his behavior/personality. Cerberous is a great boy and will be an amazing companion for the right person. He does have some issues that are going to need some work. He is very territorial. He is very intelligent and knows Basic Commands. He will make an amazing guard dog. He is good on a leash. A muzzle is advised by the Current Shepherd Parent if he goes around other people. Something recently happened to cause Cerberous to behave and act differently. She doesn't know if something happened while she was gone or what, but now Cerberous gets startled very easily and when he is startled, he is aggressive. For example, she came through the hallway corner at night and woke him up and he charged after her in full attack mode. Luckily, she had a pillow in her hand and he bit that. She has kids so she is very on edge with this situation and feels that the best thing to do is to find Cerberous a home with NO kids and NO other dogs as to avoid any potential issues. He is treat motivated. He does like playing with other dogs but if he starts to get an attitude, he can become mean to them. He is such a great boy, but something has him on edge. He needs someone Breed Experienced that can handle the situation and help work through it with Cerberous. Comes with: collar, leash, muzzle, Kong ball.
