About Louie

Adoption Fee: $100
Weimaraner
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

What happens when you wake up in the morning and there isn't anyone there to feed you?? Or take you for that first morning walk when you live in an apartment?? Dad? Where are you?? You are very still and still asleep and we are hungry. People are now coming. A lot of activity but we are being ignored. Still no food. They are taking dad away on a gurney and he's all covered up??? Oh no...our whole life is about to change? They are now talking in low whispers...what are we going to do with his dogs? So, now the family has to try to help this poor boy who is 7 years old. His owner, dad, just passed away and the family is in a flurry of what to do. They don't know much about the two dogs left behind because they are all really EX family. We do know that Louie has been super 'well fed' and under exercised. He lived with his female weimaraner sister and they did well together with Louie being the top dog. He was walked for potty breaks but probably only because he lived on a second floor apartment. Louie is neutered, house trained and has a natural tail. Reluctantly the ex-wife took in the female Weimaraner but that leaves Louie homeless. Louiie is confused. Not sure what happened in his life that he is being moved around. He is available NOW. If you're interested in an older Weim (BEST GUESS is 7 YRS OLD) and would like to help this boy trim down and thrive in a much more active home, please contact me FYI Louie is a TALKER! He may give a low growl when asked to do something but he is expressing himself. His growl is his communication and can be intimidating. It is totally harmless. Maybe you have had a dog like this? He will need someone who understands this and knows. Louie is just an old man with a purpose and will growl his thoughts, but in the end he is just telling you he'd rather not move. Louie has been with me but I live in an Apartment and the landlord is not pleased with me for having him here. I already had to pick him up from the shelter when my mom was supposed to be taking care of him and lost her home. They told me he was stressed in the shelter so had no choice but to euthanize him! He's a good boy! He just needs a chance! NOTE: We are Louie grew up with a cat but any cat resident will have to be introduced slowly. Please help Louie find a place to call his own. He is so confused and lost and really needs someone to give him his forever home!
