About Mars

Adoption Fee: $50
Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Mars came into my life in May 2024 after surviving a past full of neglect and abuse. I took him in to give him the safety and stability he never had, and since then, he's blossomed into the sweetest, most loyal companion. He has this quiet strength and soulful presence that makes everyone who meets him feel something. He's not just a dog-he's a survivor with a big, beautiful heart. He's incredibly affectionate with people and very gentle with children. He's not an escape artist (a rare trait in a husky!) and he's never been destructive in the home. He just wants to be near the people he trusts, and he loves a calm environment where he can feel safe and secure. Mars does enjoy the company of other dogs, but he's had some traumatic experiences in my home with other large male dogs-particularly other huskies-that have left him on edge around dominant males. He's never started a fight, but he's been on the receiving end of too many. Because of this, he's most comfortable with female dogs of any size, especially confident, social ones. He absolutely adores pit bull and bully breed females-he's had some of his happiest moments playing with them both at home and in daycare. He also does really well with small dogs of any gender, especially the spunky, energetic kind. He is not being rehomed because of behavior problems or a lack of love. This is purely about what's fair to him. I've done everything I can, but Mars deserves to live in a home where he doesn't have to walk on eggshells, constantly on guard. He deserves peace, consistency, and someone who sees how special he is. Mars is fully vetted, and I can provide his records. I'm happy to donate to help with his transition and will be available for anything his future family needs. This decision is devastating for me, but it's coming from a place of love. I will not let him end up in a shelter-I'm committed to finding him a home where he can truly thrive. If you believe in second chances, Mars is waiting for you. He has so much love to give-and he's more than worth it.
