About Hanna

Hanna, about 50 pounds, was born in May 2019. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She's very intelligent and learns quickly. She has great hearing and will immediately alert you about anyone's presence. If you will hold her bowl of food or her treat before giving it to her, she will sit. If you put on her leash and wait, she will sit. She likes going for walks and just being outside in the fenced area. She's usually at the front storm door watching everything and everybody outside. Her appetite is good - Purina Dog Chow (with the meat only of boiled chicken legs in rice every now and then). She sometimes lets strangers touch her but I would not call her particularly friendly. She's more watch dog than neighborhood friendly. She has a history of starting fights with other chow chow females in the house. She gets along better with the males. She is very much food oriented, which helps in influencing her.
