Trudi is a throwaway mama. Over the years, from time to time, a dog comes in who's obviously just had puppies; however, they are usually found on the street. Trudi's case was somewhat different, as she was found living on a rooftop. Thank goodness a concerned citizen called the authorities and alerted them to the dog's situation, and she was promptly brought to the animal shelter. She was very thin, and as you can imagine, she was afraid. But after being here for a couple of weeks, she gained about 8 pounds and started to look wonderful, and she also began to trust us. Trudi is a very quiet, unassuming dog. She likes to sniff around, likes her toys, and likes people. She's already bonded with several of the staff and volunteers. We think Trudi is about 3 to 4 years old and weighs 46 pounds; she probably should weigh in the low 50s. She likes most dogs, but of course, she would have to meet your dog to see if they were a match. That was several months ago. Trudi is still here, and she's becoming depressed. She wants and needs a family of her own. Can you help her? To know her is to love her. For more info, text us at 201-981-3215,
