About Diesel

[Case opened on 4/14/25 ]. AKRON, OHIO . 4 Y/O MALE SHEPHERD/ BORDER COLLIE MIX (DOB:7/5/21). His name is 'DIESEL '. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd Parent since a puppy. NOT UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids 12 and up. Good with dogs, but has recently became Reactive to dogs outside of the home. We believe this is due to lack of socializing and not going on many walks anymore.. Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but does not need, has good behavior when left out and alone.. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. HIGH PREY DRIVE . Currently on Diamond Naturals food. He is a picky eater and the Current Shepherd Parent has to put topper on his food. Weighs 75 lbs. UNKNOWN with car rides. Loves: Outside Time- playing fetch - being with his person - belly rubs - kisses - sleeping in the bed. Personality: sweet obedient and loyal. Diesel is going to be an amazing companion for the right person. He is very intelligent and knows Basic Commands. He is okay on a leash. He is scared of thunder. Diesel has recently become Reactive to other dogs that are not in the home so Proper Introduction is a must. Diesel has not been able to go on walks as much lately, so we feel that once he is out more, this will definitely improve. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Diesel because she is disabled and has realized that Diesel needs someone who is able to care for him and give him the love, time and attention that he needs and deserves. Diesel will thrive best in a home with someone who has time for him and can give him plenty of play time and attention.
