About McKenzie

Well, lets just get right past the part of how gorgeous McKenzie is, because she really is a stunner. She has a soft, lush coat and the most beautiful piercing eyes. More importantly, is the soul of this very special girl. McKenzie...we call her Kenzie for short...has stolen our hearts in the short time she has been with us. She is just a year old, but one of those dogs that just seems wise beyond her years..or in her case, months. Kenzie is bright, intuitive, respectful and gentle. She can be a very ladylike dog, but on the other hand.... We enjoy the other side of her as well. Kenzie is very playful, she LOVES to be running and playing in the yard with the other dogs. Her 'foster brother', Sully, keeps her busy. The two of them run zoomies in the yard, rough housing and enjoying being outside. While Sully is a little more rough and tumble, Kenzie will keep up as she see's fit, but then is also just as happy as coming inside for some down time, or enjoying a sunny spot on the deck. She has been great with the other dogs, even our old grumpy ones. We are not sure about cats, she does seem to have a bit of a prey drive, so that might not be best. Kenzie has been very gentle around the people she has met, she is a lovable girl, she likes to be by your side for quiet moments. Kenzie is also housebroken, very well mannered in the house, no counter surfing, chewing. She will sleep in a crate but has not needed it. Kenzie will do well with and active family, long hours alone will not be best for her given her age and breed. She would love another playful dog, a fenced yard would be great as well. Kenzie is about 45 pounds, a year old and a Collie mix we are assuming. Her adoption fee is $400. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
