Ayla is a beautiful and very sweet girl who will be 4 years old in May. She is cuddly, and personable and loves so much to be with her humans. She likes squeaky toys and going for walks and talking to you if you aren't giving her as much attention as she thinks you should be giving to her. Ayla came to us from a wonderful home in Wisconsin where she lived harmoniously with her family and several other dogs, - until one of those other dogs, who is very senior, became ill. Sometimes when dogs become ill, other dogs in the pack will instinctively 'cull' the pack to maintain it's strength. You have heard, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link right? Well this is what is believed to have happened in this situation and Ayla, after the old dog became ill, would pick on and at times go after the weaker dog. Likely her actions were instinct because the dogs lived peacefully since Ayla was a pup. She still did great with all the other dogs in the home'| except for the sick, old dog. So, her human family struggled profoundly with a hard decision. Try to maintain peace in their home and pray there was not a fight where Ayla or the other dog got hurt or worse, or let one go? With the senior being ill, rehomimg would not only be difficult, they wanted to ensure he had the best care possible he could have in his remaining time. Ayla is young, beautiful, sweet and easily adoptable so the human mom contacted me to help. It was very hard in them so please refrain from any judgement. That will not go over well. These people loved Ayla and are wonderful dog parents and love their dogs enough to make the right, hard decision. So, with that backstory, Ayla is looking for someone who will love her like crazy and she will return the feeling ten fold. This girl is a love. Ayla is spayed and urgent on all her vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is microchipped. We are now taking applications on Ayla.
