About VALERIE

VALERIE is a 2 year old, 6.9 pound Pomeranian surrendered to us by her owner. She is a sweet, shy, bouncy little fluffball! VALERIE is not used to living as a pet and she is still a little nervous with some things but REALLY wants attention and to be playful with her person. She'll bounce around near you, then when you move towards her to interact she'll back away and flatten to her belly, but army crawl back to you for pets. Once she's used to you, she loves flopping over for a belly rub. If you pick her up and put her by you, she will happily curl up next to you or on your lap. VALERIE is still working on potty training but improving with few accidents. She is not leash trained and needs a home with a fenced yard. Sometimes it takes her a while to find the courage to walk back through the door from the yard and she's fast and hard to catch to carry inside. She's doing more and more exploring of the yard before retreating to the patio. She's a good eater and does cute little tappy feet for food. VALERIE is good with other dogs and is getting more playful. She'll happily pounce on the other dogs to initiate play. She likes joining in the other dogs barking when the mail comes or there's someone in the yard or there's an unfamiliar noise. We are not sure she knows what she's barking at but she does it with enthusiasm! Her best home will have another small dog in it and that's what we are looking for. At night VALERIE likes to sleep snuggled up with her person. She's too little to jump on a sofa or bed and she pretty much stays where she is put. She will also sleep in a dog bed if that is your preference. VALERIE has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
