About Mila

Hello world!! My name is Mila and I'm a 9-year-old Shih Tzu lady looking for my forever home. At just 10 pounds, I'm the perfect lap-sized companion for someone who appreciates the quieter things in life. �ٴ� You may have noticed that big old lump hanging from my belly. ���� That's a mammary mass and these nice ladies had it taken off (on 4/7) so my paws are crossed for a complete recovery and a benign biopsy result. �٪%8F��%8F���%90%BE My foster mommy says I'm a sweet, shy girl who enjoys the simple pleasures. My perfect day involves finding a cozy spot on a soft blanket, taking long, luxurious naps, and waking up just in time for my absolute favorite activities-meal time and treat time! Did someone say treats? I am there! ���� I get along fine with other dogs, but my ideal siblings are my age or older and calm. I think I would do ok with cats and older kids too. I prefer a peaceful home where I can relax and feel safe. I'm still working on a couple of key doggie life skills including my house manners and how to walk nicely on a leash. I know these things take time, especially for a mature lady like myself who may have picked up different habits over the years. I'm hoping to find a patient adopter who understands that I might need some extra time and gentle guidance to learn these new routines. I want to learn how to be my best doggie self!!!
