Name: Dori Breed: Chihuahua Sex: Spayed Female Age: 2 years Weight: 5.5 lbs Good with dogs? Yes, she would love a forever home with a small, calm dog friend. She currently lives with three other calm dogs. Good with cats? Yes, she sleeps next to a cat at night and lives with six foster kittens. Good with kids? Yes, kids over 12 who can be gentle with her tiny size should be OK. Energy level: Low, but she loves hanging out in the yard and going on short walks. Medical/Behavioral needs: Dori needs to know where her trusted person is or else she becomes anxious. She is smart, trainable and food motivated, so this concern can be improved. She is a tiny girl with a small bark, but should not live in a home with shared walls. Dori has IVDD, intervertebral disc disease, which is a type of spinal arthritis. She appears to have been kept in a crate and not allowed much exercise prior to rescue but is regaining strength and is excited to run and jump with her tiny legs. Animal Characteristics: Dori is a sweet, loving, gentle, tiny girl who just wants to be with her person and snuggle. She will sit in your lap or next to you, and loves meeting new people. She needs an adopter who can be home to keep her company or take her along to the office, plus a calm, small doggie friend! Dori will need patience and kind training to help her feel comforted in her forever home. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
