About Steve

Steve is a 2 year old neutered male miniature australian shepherd. He needs to find a new home with no other dogs or cats, as he has issues with attacking our other dogs when he gets overly excited. He has caused our older miniature dachshund to have to have stitches. He also has separation anxiety, noise aversion, and is afraid of new situations and other people. He is very loving and loyal to his family, and we have never had issues with aggression with us. He is also very vocal, barking and 'talking' when he's upset or excited. We are feeding him a hydrolyzed protein diet, as he was having ear irritation, and that seems to help. He has been on anxiety medication, but it doesn't seem to help much. I would like to find him a home with no other pets, with someone who is experienced in dealing with anxious dogs and has the time and resources to work with him.
