About Cheeto $70 ADOPTION

Hi, I'm Cheeto! I came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue after being found as a stray living on my own for a while. I was in rough shape when I got here and have spent about a year here getting well enough to find my own family. I'm a Jack Russell mix, about 4 years old, and weigh just under 15 pounds (I'm a bit on the chonky side and could lose a bit of weight). I get along with dogs and people but am a bit on the shy side so a quieter home may be best for me. I am also heartworm-positive and currently undergoing treatment using the 'slow kill' method, which will have to be continued by my adopters. I just need to take some pills and keep calm while I'm being treated, but since I'm shy I'm not very rambunctious anyway. GOFAR will pay for all the treatments and I should fully recover from the heartworm in due time. My $70 adoption fee covers all the care I have received, including heartworm treatments, up-to-date vaccinations, vetting, neuter, and microchip.
