After spending 212 days in a shelter.....Kelly has made her way to ADA and we are ready to help her find her furEVER home! At around a year old, Kelly has spent a good bit of her short life in a shelter instead of with a family. She's a little bit shy and overwhelmed by what she is now encountering in this great big world but she's handling it with curiousity and strength! Kelly's biggest joy is the fun she has playing with other dogs! They comfort her and help her feel secure. She also loves the people she meets and just seems to know that she's well on her way to happily ever after! This is the kind of dog we love to rescue! Kelly weighs about 50 pounds and appears to be a border collie mix of some sort. She is brushing up her house training skills and has only had a couple of accidents but will need a schedule and routine to keep her on tract. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a volunteer-powered, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
