BDRA is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charity that accepts no fees when helping individuals or other rescues. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the animals. If you'd like to help us continue our mission, please donate at: https://www.blinddogrescue.org/donate-1. Name: Joe Cocker aka Joey Age: 2 years Breed: Cocker Spaniel, 32 pounds Sex: Male (neutered) Location: Charlotte County, Virginia Poor Joe Cocker recently lost his owner due to an unexpected death and is now in need of a forever home. Vet Info: Joe Cocker is neutered, current with vaccinations and is HW-. He is partially blind but otherwise healthy. He does not have a microchip. Dog Info: Joe Cocker was adopted by his owner in October 2024 and the owner recently passed away unexpectedly. Joe is a beautiful young boy that just needs a family to call his own. Joe is housebroken but not leash trained. He is an indoor dog that had run of the house. He is temporarily living with 2 cats and was living with 4 dogs prior to this and he has been great with the dogs, and there is a baby gate to the 2nd floor so the cats can leave when they want to but Joe has never chased them or even bark at them. He hasn't had any exposure, at all, with children but is such a sweet and friendly boy caretaker would be surprised if he didn't like kids. He is good with both men and women. He has not shown any aggression or has been possessive with toys, treats, or food. Caretaker doesn't have a lot of information about him beyond what was shared. He was recently adopted but returned after a couple days because he didn't get along with the 4 dogs in that house but it is believed that it was more of a 'them' problem than a Joe problem. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them. These dogs are with their owners and are not in BDRA foster homes. We do our best to screen these dogs, but make no guarantees regarding the information posted.** Please email os@blinddogrescue.org if you are interested in this sweetheart. Please know that we will ask for a vet reference.
