Hi! This is Aubrey! The personification of pure Delight! A high-stepping, bright-eyed ray of sunshine. Endlessly cheerful. Relentless snuggle-bug. Tennis ball enthusiast. Smiles at total strangers at stoplights. Wiggly dancing is her jam. Will blissfully invade your personal space without hesitation. Falls asleep during every movie, but intently watches Vanna White. Avid bird watcher. Spayed. Yet gets all googly-eyed and giddy at the sight of the handsome Police K9 who lives next door. Does not care that he has zero interest in reciprocating. She's convinced he's just professionally aloof. A beautiful mix of Shepherd and yellow Labrador, Aubrey's coat is nice and sleek, easy to maintain. She's soft as a cloud with velvety ears. A sweet soul with high energy, it's her nature to be a tireless companion, an attentive listener, a steadfast confidant, and a faithful life-long friend. She is playful, curious, highly intelligent, and eager to learn. Aubrey's fav quote is: 'Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, and filling an emptiness we didn't ever know we had.' ~ Thom Jones She was born (approximately) in early October 2023, and she's still very much a puppy. She knows the basic commands of 'here', and 'sit', and 'down' and 'stay'. She plays a game of 'find it' every morning: with the objective of finding treats that her people hide for her, allowing her to use her natural talent of that legendary sense of smell attributed to both Labradors and German Shepherds. She's house-trained, has free run of the house, and has never been in a kennel or crate. Ideally, she'll find a forever home with someone who has experience with German Shepherds, has plenty of time to devote to her, and allows some time, patience, grace, and consistency to adjust to the routine of a new home. Aubrey responds best to calm, gentle guidance and is eager to please. She loves to go for walks, and is very enthused about exploring. She's UTD on her shots and takes a Heartguard chew tablet each month. Aubrey has a built-in, very strong 'chase' instinct, so she should NOT be around cats. She doesn't know any little kids, so her reaction to them is unknown. Be advised, she is VERY high energy. She can be quite boisterous at times, but overall she is easy-going and happy-go-lucky with everyone she has met so far. She would do well in a calm, yet active home, with a fenced yard. She loves to focus her energy on playing ball, having fun, matching wits, and would make a great walking or running partner, though needs further training on her leash skills. She currently lives with an older couple in Northwest Arkansas. She is a wonderful companion, just too high-energy for the older folks.
