About Cheeseburger

Hey there! I'm Cheeseburger! I'm a 5-year-old, 50-pound guy with a heart full of love to give. I've had a rough past, but I'm bouncing back and looking so much better now! I came from a place where I wasn't taken care of, and I was really skinny when I was rescued, but I'm a strong, healthy boy now. One thing my future family needs to know is that I'm currently having some allergies with my ear that require Apoquel. This prescription can be a bit expensive ($90 per month usually) so my new family needs to be up for managing some of my skin care. My rescue mom says I'm sweet, easygoing, and a great companion. I get along with some female dogs. But I can be a bit finnicky. I need a slow and proper intro. I do need a home without cats, though. I do have a bit of a thing with resource guarding, especially when it comes to food and bones. Overall I'm a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to be the best dog I can be! My rescue mom thinks I'd be great with kids - I'm a calm, loving guy who just wants to be part of a family that will give me all the love I've been missing. I was lucky enough to be rescued from a high-kill shelter during a really tough time, and it's truly a miracle I'm here today.
