About Tater Tot

Welcome Tater Tot from Kern County Animal Services to CCHDR! Our vet thinks he only needs to have the cast on for two more weeks. Xrays can be performed at that time to see if the break has healed. Also turns out that Tater Tot does not have a broken pelvis, his growth plates haven't closed yet. It looks like a break on film, but it's not! That said, this little dude should be healed up in no time. He currently weighs 8lbs, is about 13 weeks of age, and is sweet as can be. He has more pep in his step now too that he's been receiving love and proper care. Stay tuned, Tater Tot should be ready to set sail into a forever home shortly. Tater Tot is located in Atascadero, CA but won't be ready for adoption until he's all healed up. Stay tuned!
