NEEDS FUREVER HOME ASAP! [Case opened on 3/31/25]. UNION, KY. 1 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB:12/21/23). His name is ' MARLEY'. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd Parent since weaned. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed (too young for this breed). Good with kids. Good with dogs AFTER PROPER INTRODUCTION, VERY REACTIVE AT FIRST. Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but does not need, trained to Free Roam and has good behavior when left alone. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. Currently on 'PEDIGREE' food. Weighs 85 lbs. Good with car rides. Loves: barking - playing fetch- play time - squeaky toys - treats - going on walks - playing with his other GSD friend- chilling on couch- being near his person. Personality: Good natured. Protective. Great watchdog. Reactive until warms up. Marley is a great boy. Still a GSD pup. He is good-natured. Very smart and knows Basic Commands. He is protective and will make a great Watchdog. He is very loving to his people. He has Good Recall. He is ok on a leash, but very Reactive to other dogs and people and will pull. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Marley because he is hardly ever home and it is not fair to Marley. Marley needs and deserves a loving family who has time for him and who is home a lot more to give him the love and attention that he needs and deserves. He also has issues with being able to handle Marley. Marley is very protective and reacts very viciously if he sees other dogs or strangers and the Current Shepherd Parent cannot handle him. Marley needs someone that will be able to handle his strength and work with him through his overprotectiveness and being so reactive. Marley will thrive best in a loving home who has the time to work with him. If you do have other dogs, you must be confident that you will be able to work through any issues and follow Proper Introduction Guides. Once Marley is given the time to adjust, he eventually will play with the other dog and be nice to the stranger that he just met. But he has to have Proper Introduction and he has to be given adequate time to calm down. Comes with: collar, leash.
