URGENT! [Case reopened on 4/10/25]. ALEXANDRIA, KY . 4.5 Y/O MALE AKC REGISTERED GSD (DOB:7/8/21) . His name is 'REECE '. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd Parent since weaned. UTD on shots WITH record. Has recently had complete check up /bloodwork/heartworm test, etc and everything looks great. Fixed. Good with kids, loves kids. Great with other family dogs, but REACTIVE to stranger dogs. May be OK with other dogs if given time to adjust and acclimate. Proper Introduction is a MUST. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues (did break a tooth when he was a pup, seen by vet, it has never caused any issues). Very High Energy . High Prey Drive. Currently on 'Kinetic Performance Active 26k Formula' food. Weighs 75 lbs. Good with car rides. Loves: playing outside - going on walks - snuggling with his people - nose puzzles and treats - playing tug - playing in water - people - attention - being rubbed between his eyes-playing with other family dog and dogs that he knows- playing with kids. Personality: sweet and loving. Hyper and goofy. This sweet guy is a AKC Registered and comes from a very healthy bloodline. He is very eager to please his person. He has great drive and work ethic. A quick learner. Very loving. He would lay his head on the Current Shepherd Parent's belly when she was pregnant. His Recall is okay, but could use some work. He is very intelligent and knows Basic Commands in both English and German. He is very careful with kids and gives the sweetest kisses. He is good on a leash but is Reactive to dogs and cats. Current Shepherd Parent is re homing Reese because she is unexpectedly pregnant and also her grandmother is moving in, and just does not have the time that Reece needs and deserves. He needs time and attention that the Current Shepherd Parent is just not able to give him. He will thrive best with someone Breed Experienced that has the time to work with him and give him all the love that this sweet boy deserves. The Current Shepherd Parent loves Reese very much but feels she must do what is right for him and find him the home that he needs and deserves, so that he can thrive and be the best boy that he can be.
