One of the most endearing things about Hercules is the way he 'talks' when you pick him up-his little voice is sure to bring a smile to your face. He absolutely loves to sit in your lap, soaking up the comfort and warmth of being close to his person. Once he's had a chance to warm up, he becomes very loving and easygoing, making it clear that all he really wants is to feel safe and adored. Hercules enjoys the simple pleasures in life... he's a big fan of walks, being outdoors, and going for car rides. He walks well on a leash and is quiet in the car, making him a great little travel buddy. He's good with other dogs and could enjoy the companionship of a canine friend, but he'd also do just fine as your one and only. One thing's for sure, cats are a no-go for Hercules. They absolutely terrify him, so a cat-free home is a must. He's mostly crate trained and will keep his crate dry overnight, though he's still working on full house training and wears a belly band when out of the crate. A doggy door or frequent trips outside would really help him continue making progress. Loud noises can be scary for him, so a patient home that understands he's been through a tough time will be the best fit for this little guy.
