Sampson came into Sophia's Grace Rescue with his bonded partner Deliliah, Although they seem to have been well-loved by their former owner, they were not diligent about keeping up with their vet care, so both dogs were in horrible physical condition when they came into rescue. Unfortunately, Deliliah passed away a few short weeks after entering her foster home, due to previously undiagnosed advanced kidney disease, however, after getting a much-needed dental cleaning, Sampson is in surprisingly good health! Sampson likes to sleep in the big bed and snuggle. He wants to be where his people are and when he is ready for bed he will wander into the bedroom. Sampson suffered from years of neglect and needs a person that will give him the love, attention and care that he did not receive in his past. Sampsons dream home would be a quiet home where his adopter(s) is home most of the time, so a retired person/couple would be ideal. He would be okay as the only dog in the home, however, he does still miss his sister, and he would LOVE another senior pup in the home�'�|especially one that would want to cuddle with him! Sampson is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. After his dental cleaning, he only has a few teeth left. That coupled with a significant overbite makes for a bit of a messy licker! He is being fostered in York, PA and is available for an adoption fee of $150.00.
