About Riley

Poor Riley was turned into the shelter as a stray and she was in rough shape. She had overgrown matted hair with overgrown nails, dirty and hungry. She also needed x-rays as she had a limp in her rear leg but the shelter said they were too busy and understaffed to do them! So, we got her out and got her x-rays which did not show any injuries, thank goodness. Riley is also fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed, on flea/heartworm treatment, bloodwork, fecal and heartworm (negative) and received a dental cleaning. Riley also got all groomed and cleaned up, is feeling much better and is now looking for her forever home. She does well with other calm dogs and cats. She would do okay as an only dog as long as she is not left for long hours. She does have some handling sensitivity with being groomed and nail trims so she will need a patient home/groomer to help her with that. We will not be adopting her to a home with children under the age of 10 as she can be a little nippy if startled. We believe she is a Maltipoo with possibly some Terrier and she is non-shedding so she will need haircuts. She is 7.5 pounds and is about 3-4 years old and is mostly potty trained but does have an occasional accident.
