About Fluffy

Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Middletown, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Fluffy! Fluffy is a 14-year-old, 12lb., Shit Tzu mix who was brought to a shelter when her owner passed away. She was dirty, lethargic, and in need of a new beginning. Fluffy was taken into our care and received an x-ray that showed a grade 5 heart murmur. She takes medicine for her heart and blood pressure, and eye drops for glaucoma all twice a day. The cost for these is around $90 a month. Fluffy has limited hearing but her vision is fine and she is fully potty trained. Once she was cleaned up and groomed, Fluffy became a whole new dog. She may be 14, but she has plenty of energy and wants to be part of everything. Fluffy gets along great with kids of all ages and other dogs. She has not been cat tested yet, but her foster mom thinks she would be just fine. Fluffy walks well on a leash and loves exploring outside. She can handle stairs and loves going for car rides. Fluffy's ideal home would have someone around most of the time because she likes being part of the action. She spent most of her life with another dog, and would love to have a full-time friend. Fluffy loves to be held and cuddled and snuggle in bed at night. She's also a spinner. Fluffy spins when she's happy, when she's hungry, and when she wants to go to the bathroom.
