My Vet thinks I'm 4. I'm looking for a furever home! My DNA shows I'm 87% Australian Cattle Dog/Shepard mix. My latest home can't keep up with my high energy. I was in a kennel for awhile and then in a foster home. My foster parents did fine with me taking me on jogs etc. My recent adopter is a single mom and has tried walking me with her 4 year old son and it isn't working. Her son is too impatient, and I like to really get moving. If you'd like a dog that could go on jogs/walks or you have property where I can run I'm all in!!!! I'm probably best in a home without kids or other dogs unless we click. I tolerated a cat in my foster home but haven't had any around me at my new Mom's home. I can get reactive to other dogs, so I need someone who knows how to handle that. I've been doing obedience training and get along with dogs there, but on walks I'm not as friendly. I'm super smart, so if you know how to be my pack leader, I'll do almost anything for you. I also love being challenged with learning new tricks. I sit, lay down, shake, wait, and can even go bang/play dead! I'm completely house trained too. I get nervous if I'm not busy unless I'm in my crate. Being in my crate let's me be off duty and chill. I'll follow you everywhere waiting for instructions. I'm a little shy with new people and you can't approach me too quickly. I need to get to know you are OK. In other words, I'm a good watch dog. I'm looking for a strong handler who can make me feel safe. Women seem less threatening to me, but I like men too. I need space when you first come into my home. I want daily structure and need boundaries. Give my current Mom a call to find out more about me. She loves me dearly, but she has realized I'm better with an experienced dog handler. I'd love it if there were just one or two adult humans to live with. She just wants me to find a nice home.
