About Poppy

Poppy is an adorable and friendly Miniature Poodle. She came in on transport all the way from TX and was adopted soon after, however the home she is in is a bit too rambunctious for her. She is looking for a home that is quiet and doesn't have young children. She is a perfect lap dog and will sit on your lap for hours. However, she is not good with active homes. She does not like loud noises or sudden movements. She is estimated in age to be about 5 and around 10-11 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and got some dewormer. She came to us from a southern shelter and she was heartworm positive. So she has been treated with a heartworm killer and has gone through all the protocols to clear that nasty parasite from her body. She should now be heartworm negative but will need to be retested in 6 months to make sure of that and will likely need to be on a preventative (HeartGard, TriHeart, etc) for a year or so. Poppy is ready to get into a home and learn the routines so he can be a valued member of a family! She is in the Deer Lodge area as the adopters are going to continue to foster her until a suitable home is found. Her adoption fee is $350.
