This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Starr is approximately 9 months to 1 year old, black and white border collie mix. She is not yet spayed. She came to us as a stray found running loose in the county, but sadly, no owner has come forward to reclaim her. We have noticed that Starr becomes defensive when a leash is removed in the kennel setting. However, staff have observed that off-leash, she is a completely different dog-loyal, eager to stay by your side, and overall much more at ease. We believe her leash issues are manageable with training, given how young she is and her otherwise affectionate nature. Due to her breed and behavior, we feel Starr would thrive in the hands of an experienced Border Collie rescue that can provide the structure and training she needs. If your organization is able to help, please let us know-we are hopeful she will get the opportunity to learn, grow, and find a forever home.
(Please enquire only if with a rescue, otherwise your message may slow this animal from getting help.)
