About Lulu

Yee haw! Meet Lulu! This genuine canine cowgirl strode into town to find a loving and outgoing family or couple to call her own. With an infectious spirit, she is happy and excited by life itself. Lulu is a two-year-old, 46-pound girl who is very likely a Blue Lacy or mix of this very rare American breed (Rescue Me does not have this option, so we opted for the next best blue-coated breed!). What in tarnation is a Blue Lacy Dog? Lulu is from Texas, which is where these working ranch hands originated. Blues are known for their sleek, silvery gray coats and distinctive eye color. They are agile, dexterous, and intelligent. They are known to be healthy dogs with a long lifespan. However, because they are energetic dogs they are not for everyone! Though Lulu enjoys activity and outdoor recreation, she is also a world class snuggler and will lasso your heart. She likes to put her head on the same pillow as her human. By nature, Lulu can't help but improve a person's physical and mental health! Lulu loves people, big and small, though her little power-house build is more suited for older kids. She's a good walking and hiking partner though she admits she'll be great once you teach her better leash manners. Being treat-motivated and smart makes her highly trainable, which is another Lacy characteristic. If you are a competitive person, team up with Lulu on any agility course and bring home the gold. She can jump very high so your fence should be at least six-feet high! Lulu is spayed, vaccinated, and house- and crate-trained. This all-around sweet baby also loves car rides. Lulu is used to being the only dog in her foster home and that's her preference. However, with the right adopter and the right resident dog, she could possibly be placed with another dog after proper introductions. No cats or young children.
