About Athena

Athena is a 3-year-old blue and white parti Pomeranian with the heart of a lover and the sass of a queen. Weighing in at 10 pounds (with a little room to slim down), she's an affectionate girl who thrives on cuddles, belly rubs, and being near her people. She rides like a pro in the car and has proven to be a social butterfly, getting along beautifully with both dogs and cats. Athena came into rescue needing a little extra TLC-she had inguinal hernias repaired during her spay and is now fully vetted and on the mend. She also has luxating patellas (grade 3 out of 4), which are not currently causing any pain or mobility issues but should be monitored as she ages. This spunky girl isn't a fan of the crate (and who can blame her?), but she's adjusting to life in a loving foster home where she's gaining confidence every day. She still has occasional potty accidents and, in a rather comical twist, sometimes tries to mark like a boy-her foster is working on it and thinks she'll improve with time, patience, and consistency. Athena is as sweet as they come and continues to blossom now that she's safe and adored. She's ready for a home where she can continue her glow-up with people who will love her quirks and all.
